Community and Fundraising
At Gorsewood, we are an important part of our local community and work hard to ensure we make a positive contribution to the area we live in. We support our local community in many ways and love holding community events to bring everybody together.
Regular community events include Christmas and summer fairs, grandparents' Christmas lunch, themed bingos and a range of
family learning workshops and activities including reading, forest school and phonics.
We hold monthly coffee mornings too for the community.
We usually invite local charities or agencies to share their services with our school community and support families.
We teach children to look after the community they live in and regularly go litter picking or hand out thank you cards to those members of the community to help us.
We have our own food bank at school too.
