SEND

Gorsewood Primary prides itself on being an inclusive school which works collaboratively with pupils, families and external agencies to provide the best possible outcome for all its pupils. We believe that all children can fulfill their potential and make a positive contribution irrespective of any barriers to learning they may face. As a school we offer a deeply inclusive curriculum which aims to support all children to enjoy making academic, social and emotional progress. Our vision is that all children fulfil their potential and make a positive contribution, irrespective of any barriers to their learning. High quality teaching which is differentiated and personalised is available for all pupils.  At the heart of the work of every class is a continuous cycle of planning, teaching and assessing which takes account of the wide range of abilities, aptitudes and interests of children.

SEND is an acronym for Special Educational Needs and/or Disability.

Mrs Westwood is our SENCO here at Gorsewood and is the first point of contact for any special educational needs and disability  information. Mrs Westwood can be contacted at senco.gorsewood@haltonlearning.net.
