Year 6 2022 - 2023
Welcome to Year 6!
Your teachers this year will be Mrs Simmons and Miss Ward with Mr Weldon supporting us.
We have lots to look forward to this year such as Drama, Music and PE so our daily timetable may vary but we will spend our mornings doing lots of Maths, English and Reading activities and our afternoons doing History, Geography and Science.
Wednesday - PE with Miss Ward
Wednesday - Music and Drama
Thursday - PE
Remember to keep checking Google Classroom as some of your homework will be set on here. Homework will be set Friday to Friday and spellings will be Monday to Monday. Spellings will also be posted on Google Classroom as well as sent home via Marvellous Me.
All children will need a home reading book and reading at home will be recorded in their journal. House points and Be Your Best Self tickets will be given to children who are reading and returning their journal daily.
In Year 6 children sit their Sats, which are tests all Year 6 children in England complete. These tests are important, but we don't want anybody to worry about them. They are a long way off and when they do arrive we will be fully prepared and ready to try our best!
