Outdoor Learning

Children at Gorsewood enjoy learning outside from reading for pleasure in the sunshine under a tree to completing a SPAG hunt or creating a Roman army tortoise formation ready for battle!

We are very lucky to have such large grounds and aim to use the outdoors as much as possible.

Our Early Years area is exciting and fun to explore and used by other year groups too.  We also have access to a wonderful pond which is used to enhance science lessons and other subjects too.  We have a fantastic forest school area too which all classes use over the year.

Our canopy also means that we no longer have wet plays and provides us with additional space in all weathers when a classroom simply isn't big enough!
