The Great Fire of London
Wow! What an exciting morning we have had in year 2.
Our topic this term has been 'The Great Fire of London' and we have learnt lots so far... Where, how and why the fire started. Why it spread so quickly and the effect it had on London and its residents. The role the River Thames played and what the residents did to extinguish the flames.
As part of our topic work we built houses, like those on Pudding Lane in 1666. We knew how the fire spread so quickly but we wanted to see for ourselves how destructive it was and can be!
Take a look at our photos and videos to experience it for yourselves.
