World Book Day
Once again Gorsewood is proud to be hosting a whole range of activities for World Book Day 2017. We started on Monday with parents and carers being invited to stay and read, each morning this week, with our KS1 pupils. On the day itself we welcomed a whole host of magical characters into our school and as ever we thank all of those who took the time to participate. You can see some of our pictures in our gallery. As well as a range of activities taking places in classes we hosted our first book 'speed dating' session. The idea was simple, pupils were given just a minute to get to know a book before moving onto the next. At the end of the event every pupil left with a list of books they'd like to get to know a little bit better. The final event of the day was our family bedtime stories. Families were invited back to Gorsewood (pyjamas optional) for a nice hot chocolate and bedtime story.
