Headteacher's Blog February 2016

Date: 2nd May 2016 @ 4:35pm

January was a busy month for pupils, staff and parents alike. The children enjoyed M&M Production’s version of Jack and the Beanstalk. Reception and Year 1 are taking part in Healthy Heroes with a focus on keeping fit and healthy. Year 5 and Year 6 took part in a table tennis competition with other local schools. Year 4 and Year 6 produced some impressive writing though the exciting “Spook” workshop.

Reception and pre-school parents worked with their children to make a treasure box to be used for a speaking and listening project. Family Learning every Thursday morning has started, this time with a maths focus. Look out for further opportunities to learn more about your child in school.

Staff continue to access training in order to remain skilled, informed and updated in order to ensure our children are supported in their learning.

We have lots to look forward to in the remaining two weeks before half term. Highland Games competition for Year 5, football at Liverpool Academy for Year 5/Year 6, Chester Zoo trip for Year 6, New Age Bowls, Mersey Link assembly and the KS1 drama showcase. See overleaf for dates and times.

A reminder that the children break up for February half term on Thursday 11th February and are back in on Monday 22nd February.
